Reviews:
"This is one of my favorite books to read with beginning readers. It's funny and teaches them to believe in themselves even if they don't think they can do something and also to appreciate what others have to offer even if it's different or new."
"Piggie wants Gerald to dance, but he has to tell her a sad truth. Elephants cannot dance. However, they decide to not let that stop them trying, with expected but fun results! I love that Gerald pulls out a book and tells Piggie which page it says that elephants can't dance! No moping, just the "facts". But in typical Piggie and Elephant book form, friendship can make up for much!"
