Reviews:

"Let’s go for a drive is about an elephant and a pig that are best friends. They decide to go on a road trip, but they realize they aren’t prepared. They plan out their trip and think of the important things they need to bring with them. Once they have everything packed and ready they remember that to go on a drive they need a car, which they do not have. This silly little book is a great story about two very different friends that learn interesting lessons when they are trying to go on an adventure. I enjoyed the light heartedness of this book as well as the fun illustrations. "

"Lets Go for a Drive is another book by Mo Willems. This book is about an elephant and a big where they are best friends going on a road trip. They begin the initial phases of planning out their trip and after they have everything packed they remembered that they were missing the most important thing…. A car! The bummer was that none of them had a car, so everyone was really sad and disappointed, but then they thought of a solution and everyone felt a lot better. This book is very appropriate for the classroom and would be a great book for students to do book reports on, in that there is a lot that can be taken away from the text. With an extended thoughts section where students are encouraged to make connections, this book could be a real gem in the classroom setting, to help the students learn about themselves."
